Playing The Ostrich

Rots in high placesIf Nigerians were told one day their dear country would become a banana republic , they probably would not have believed it. But here they are , in the 21st century, being bombarded with all sorts of farce and farts. The whole place is fouled up with so many hitherto unfathomable behaviours. Perhaps some people would have been saying ” Oh God! Why us,is this progress or backsliding? “. Looking at it critically, it looks more like back flipping.
Among the various insults being heaped on Nigerians is the signing of supplementary budget supposedly, by the absentee president of Nigeria. Who can say with all certainty, that the signature was Mr President’s. You have cases of one junior presidency official or the other holding the entire country to ransom yet, those who are supposed to bring sanity into the whole matter, for curious reasons, appear to be collectively suffering from amnesia.

nigerian politics at workThings are not right with Nigeria. Everybody knows it but nobody seems to be taking any action. Nigerians generally prefer to sit on the fence while watching some undesirable elements steal the show.
